Designed to teach your child simple chord style guitar playing. We cover the parts of the guitar, basic playing techniques, tuning , chord basics, chord formations, playing chords on a guitar, finding songs and more.
Required Materials: 6 string acoustic guitar with nylon or extra light gauge strings, a tuner, and a pick. Music stand not required but recommended.
Drum Lessons
Description: During these lessons, the basic fundamentals of percussion will be taught. Beginning with a snare drum and later advancing to a drum set, your child will learn the correct playing styles, the 41 basic rudiments, percussion theory, reading music, performance fundamentals, technical accuracy, and musical effect.
Required Materials: SD1 General drum sticks and practice drum pad.
Optional Materials: Stick bag and metronome
Classes will be taught by Terrence "Tee" Peoples. Terrence is a student at Alabama A&M University majoring in Computer Science and is a part of the Marching Maroon and White drum line.
